3D scanning and 3D model of the former “Cracovia” hotel

It took several days to scan the area of about 18,000 square meters, where the former “Cracovia” hotel is located. At the same time, underground networks were measured using a GPR.

The point cloud, which is a product of scanning, was an excellent basis for 3D modeling in Revit. The created model will serve, among others, design or promotional purposes. Thanks to comprehensive and, above all, up-to-date information about the area, the client is able to design new objects without fear of collision with existing ones. Thus, any errors that could arise from the use of information derived from outdated geodetic maps are excluded.

Area: 18,000 m2

Scan time: 4 days

Underground scan time: 7 days

3D modeling: 14 days
