Zinc smelter Miasteczko Śląskie SA is a producer of zinc and lead products. Since 1968, HCM has been producing zinc and lead using a pyrometallurgical method. What cennects HCM with laser scanning?
In connection with the planned modernization of lighting in most facilities located on the premises of the smelter there was a need to create documentation representing the current state. For this purpose, we have scanned objects on the premises of the smelter, both outside and inside. From the point cloud, 3D models of 39 buildings were created. Such visualization will not only facilitate the improvement of lighting, optimize the distribution of lights and reduce the amount of unnecessary lamps, but can also be reused in the future for other design work.
