In 2013. Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology at the University of Gdansk and the University of George August University of Göttingen started realization of Polish-German research project medieval city using non-invasive techniques.
Scan 3D had the pleasure of participating in conducted archaeological research, by a team of archaeologists in Barczewko. Together with the Metrotech company, they were scanned with a FaroFocus 3D x130 scanner and a series of photos of archaeological excavations were taken to develop photogrammetric 3D models. 3D models were used to prepare visualizations, thanks to which it is possible to learn the history of Barczewka.
