3D scanning of the former Marshal’s Office in Szczecin

Laser scanning is ideal for preparing construction documentation and checking the archival documentation for timeliness. For this reason, the impressive dimensions of the building were scanned – formerly housing a hospital inside, then a marshal’s office. Five floors and over 200 rooms translated into more than 1,200 workstations and 7,000 photos (taken both with a terrestrial SLR and a drone).

The purpose of the measurements was to check the existing object documentation. After data registration, the point cloud was compared with the projections of the object, and then a report was made of the discrepancies noted.
