Obtaining up-to-date architectural data is an important aspect when renovating or maintaining historic buildings. Existing documentation usually deviates from the facts, which is not a good basis for modernization works. Acquiring the necessary documentation significantly improves the use of 3D laser scanning technology.
In order to carry out renovation works, the historic town hall located in Słupsk was scanned. 3D scanning took just one day. The cloud of points obtained in this way was used to make detailed 2D drawings in AutoCad, as well as a 3D model in Revit. 2D drawings and 3D model are an indispensable tool to develop a functional plan of conduct during further conservation or modernization works.
