3D scanning of the synagogue in Tarnów

3D laser scanning is increasingly used to present historic objects in virtual reality. This treatment allows access to cultural heritage for a wider group of people who can not afford to travel or are outside the country. In this way, it is also possible to preserve the monuments in their present condition for future generations. It was for this purpose that the old synagogue located in Tarnów was scanned. In addition, photos were taken using a drone and an SLR. A point cloud was obtained, which is the basis for the 2D documentation. Then a mesh model was developed to visualize the synagogue.
