On June 2, 2022, the BIM meet UP took place in Wrocław under the slogan “BIM on the construction site”. The event attracted enthusiasts of BIM technology, including architects, constructors, planners, estimators, construction engineers, students, managers and designers. Regardless of the level of experience, from beginners to specialists. Everyone could exchange knowledge, establish contacts and learn from each other. The atmosphere was relaxed and the discussions focused on practical aspects of BIM on the construction site.
The organizers took care of an interesting program, and among the invited guests were specialists with various professional experience. Among the speakers there was also a representation of scan3D. Lechosław Trznadel, our Business Development Manager, gave a lecture on the topic “What do 3D measurements give in construction?”. The presentation focused on the benefits of using 3D scanning in construction and design processes.
During the lecture, Leszek presented the most important advantages of using modern 3D and BIM scanning technologies used by scan3D:
- Precise measurements and documentation – 3D scanning allows for accurate mapping of reality, which eliminates errors and oversights at the planning and implementation stages.
- Advanced equipment – NavVis VLX and Leica RTC – using the latest technologies but also different in terms of speed, which ensure the highest measurement accuracy and speed of data collection.
- Photogrammetry – Allows the creation of realistic 3D models, which are extremely useful in project analysis and ongoing monitoring of the construction status.
- Reduced work time – The use of 3D scanning significantly speeds up inventory processes, reducing the time needed to collect and develop data.
- Improved communication and cooperation – 3D models make it easier for all participants to understand the project, which affects better coordination of activities on the construction site.
- Experience and customer trust – Scan3D’s many years of practice in the implementation of complex construction projects confirms our knowledge and effectiveness in using 3D measurement technology.
The meeting took place in a great atmosphere, full of substantive discussions and free exchange of experiences. It was a great opportunity to establish new relationships and explore practical aspects of using BIM in construction. We thank everyone for their presence and activity – see you at the next editions of BIM meet UP!
