Why is having knowledge of managed systems the key to success?
At the Maritime Industry Security Forum 2024, which took place on April 18, 2023 in Gdańsk, our company scan3D had the honor of presenting innovative solutions in the field of Digital Twin. The main theme of this year’s edition was artificial intelligence and modern energy technologies for the maritime economy.
Our presentation focused on the role of Digital Twin in managing seaports. Michał Racław presented a case study in which he showed how a full understanding of infrastructure resources, both above and below ground, can affect safety and operational efficiency. Digital Facility Management allows for real-time monitoring of buildings and infrastructure, which leads to savings and improved management.
Why is it so important?
- Lack of knowledge about underground resources = risk of failure.
- Understanding data = making good decisions.
- Monitoring infrastructure = quick response to threats.
- Management optimization = cost savings.
Skillful use of 3D scanning, GPR and BIM, offer comprehensive knowledge of objects, which enables precise planning and response to changing conditions. Digital Twin allows for the creation of virtual models of real systems that can be analyzed and optimized in real time.
Kluczowe fakty:
- 3D scanning. Precise representation of objects and spaces.
- BIM. Digital models of buildings and infrastructure.
- GPR. Real-time monitoring of underground resources.
- Digital Twin. Ongoing analysis and simulation of operational activities.
- Internet of Things (IoT). Connecting devices in an intelligent network.
Maritime Industry Security Forum is an event that brings together industry experts to discuss the future of technology. During our presentation, we showed how technologies such as Digital Twin can revolutionize the management of industrial infrastructure, especially in the context of seaports.
